Let me introduce myself...

Alice Blackburn, Speech and Language Therapist

Hi, I'm Alice!

I am an experienced paediatric Speech and Language Therapist working in community settings, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. I have experience with a range of communication needs including speech sound difficulties, developmental language disorder, hearing impairment, selective mutism, social communication and complex communication difficulties, using a child‑centred and strengths‑based approach. I am also a qualified teacher with experience in Early Years and primary education, which gives me valuable insight into school environments and enables me to work closely and effectively with teachers to support children in the classroom. I founded New Forest Talkers to provide high quality, individualised speech and language therapy that puts each child and family at the centre. Therapy is tailored, flexible and delivered at a pace that supports confidence, trust and meaningful communication. I work across homes, early years settings and schools, partnering with families and professionals to help children develop their communication and thrive as individuals.
